In March 2004, 4 Blackwater operators were killed in Fallujah. Later their bodies were displayed on a bridge where Iraqis chanted anti-American slogans as the charred and mutilated bodies of U.S. contractors hang from a bridge over the Euphrates River in Fallujah, Iraq.
Later, A U.S. Marine writes on a beam of a bridge in western Fallujah, Iraq, where the bodies of two American contractors killed by militants were strung up in March 2004. An earlier message left by soldiers reads: "This is for the Americans of Blackwater that were murdered here in 2004, Semper Fidelis 3/5."Now the Navy Seals who tracked down the terrorist responsible for their killings are on trial.
OK, it is odd how our priorities change during a time of war and as the war changes. So now a group of Navy Seals who did a wonderful job in tracking down and capturing a terrorist are on trial for "mistreating the prisoner" - and all he had was a bloody lip!
Give me a break! This is not how we should treat our heros! But it apparently is how we treat them.
You can see the story here.
